During the processing of fabrics or plastic films, the formation of longitudinal folds is frequent: our extending cylinder with movable slats allows to eliminate this inconvenience where a strong and decisive draft along the entire surface of the fabric is essential.
The rotatory movement of the spreader roller produces, through a system of cams, the axial sliding of the slats, which spread the fabric over its entire width. The slats slide on skids made of Acetal Polyoxymethylene (POM-C), a material which guarantees excellent mechanical properties, longevity of use and very low hygroscopicity.
Our slatted spreader rollers are available both in idle control (operated by the tangential force exerted by the fabric) and motorized, with fixing pins that can be customized according to the Customer's needs. Another feature common to all our slatted spreader rollers is the total absence of bearings. In fact, the cam system uses special PTFE+Carbon Graphite rollers which guarantee low maintenance costs and make them ideal for prolonged use in difficult conditions.
CDI (Stainless-steel Slat Spreader Roller):
CDI slat rollers are made entirely of 304/316 stainless steel (except for the skids and rollers) ideal for use in humid or aggressive environments (up to 110℃).
Available in Ø120 from 1300 mm to 2500 mm usable lenght, and Ø150 table 1750-3600 mm.
For heavy-duty applications capable of operating up to 190℃, a version that replaces POM-C pads with PTFE+Carbon Graphite pads is also available.
